Helping Your Child With History

 Helping Your Child with History
To help your child do well in history, the most important thing you can tell your child when they ask "Why do I have to learn history? When am ever going to use this?" is "You may never use it, but that's not the point. You need to learn it because learning it will create college, career and scholarship opportunities for you that you may want later." Repeat it as often as necessary. Then require that they earn top grades in history even if it requires they do additional work above and beyond what the teacher requires.
