Helping Your Child With English
Helping Your Child with English
To help your child do well in English, the most important thing you can tell your child when they ask "Why do I have to learn subject-verb agreement? When am ever going to use this?" is "You may never use it, but that's not the point. You need to learn it because learning it will create college, career and scholarship opportunities for you that you may want later." Repeat it as often as necessary. Then require that they earn top grades in English even if it requires work above and beyond what their teachers require.
