Overview
In order to qualify for admission to any California State University or University of California campus, high school students must pass with a C or higher all 15 of the required A-G courses; however, students who want to be competitive for admission should take more than the required 15 classes, especially at the top CSU and UC campuses and for the most in-demand majors. (For example, students who get into UCLA, Berkeley and Stanford typically take 22 or more A-G classes in high school.) To check the list of A-G classes for a particular high school, click here.
