Inland Empire 4th of July EventsLooking for a new, exciting way to celebrate the 4th of July this year? There are plenty of events around the Inland Empire that will give you and your family a safe holiday experience. We’ve compiled some of our local favorites for you!

When you think 4th of July, you probably think fireworks. One of the more picturesque firework displays in the I.E. is the Mt. Rubidoux display in Riverside. You buy tickets to the fair at the base of Mt. Rubidoux and have fun with the whole family till sundown, when the show starts at the top of the mountain. Starting at 5 p.m., there will be kids’ activities, music, and food trucks available. Tickets are $5 for kids, $10 for adults.

If you’d like to celebrate for the whole day, though, there are other options! For example, the Claremont 4th of July Celebration has events throughout the day to suit all kinds of tastes. They’ve got everything, including a pancake breakfast, a 5K run, a festival with food trucks, kids’ games, a parade, and of course, a concert and a firework show. Best of all, many of the events are completely free, while the others have tickets available for a reasonable price.

Although the 4th of July is a Thursday this year, there are also celebrations taking place over the following weekend. The city of Crestline, which is a short but beautiful drive into the mountains, hosts a weekend-long festival called Jamboree Days. It’s got all the classic street fair attractions, including vendor booths, a parade, and fireworks. The biggest draw is probably Lake Gregory! The lake is a convenient way to cool off while enjoying the natural landscapes. Plus, Jamboree Days is entirely free to attend!

And of course, there’s the San Bernardino classic favorite, the Inland Empire 66ers’ Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza! Well-known in our region as an easy and fun 4th of July outing, the 66ers play a home game each year on July 4 before their amazing fireworks display. This year, they will take on the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes starting at 7:05 p.m. at San Manuel Stadium. There are also kids’ activities and games between innings. Tickets start at $9. What better way to celebrate than partaking in our national pastime?
