2018 Innovation Grant AwardsOn the evening of the April 17th Board Meeting, various school sites were awarded 26 total innovative grants that totaled $1.5 million.

The purpose of the grants is to fund initiatives identified as innovative and essential to student learning and to meet the goals of the Community Engagement Plan.

These 26 grants awarded were to:

Allred Child Development Center for Early Childhood STEM in the sum of $133,280.

Anton Elementary School for Art of Animatronics in Action in the sum of $46,620.

Bing Wong Elementary School for Dangerous City News in the sum of $8,225.

Bradley Elementary School for Robocode Cubs in the sum of $9,208.

CAPS Program for Summer Animatronics in the sum of $197,436.

Chavez Middle School for Stand Up for a Better Education in the sum of $97,678.

Chavez Middle School for Bringing Digital Arts to Chavez in the sum of $47,041.

Cole Elementary School for Coping Skills 4 Success in the sum of $99,671.

Curtis Middle School for Medical Pathways in the sum of $30,000.

Elementary Instruction Department for Odyssey of the Mind in the sum of $92,200.

Golden Valley Middle School for Tech Team Repairs in the sum of $10,000.

Golden Valley Middle School for Virtual Reality Classroom in the sum of $26,300.

Holcomb Elementary School for Beyond-Traditional Alternative Seating in the sum of $1,524.

Holcomb Elementary School for Flexible Seating in the sum of $1,521.

North Park Elementary School for Coyotes Coding Creations in the sum of $11,830.

Pacific High School for Digital Tutor Center in the sum of $49,978.

Pacific High School for Random Acts of Service in the sum of $24,000.

Richardson PREP HI Middle School for School Radio Station in the sum of $9,995.

Richardson PREP HI Middle School for Academic Intervention & Monitoring (AIM) in the sum of $99,926.

Richardson PREP HI Middle School for SB Teen Music Workshop in the sum of $50,000.

San Andreas High School for Mobile Gardening in the sum of $151,244.

District Police for Evolution of Bridging the Gap in the sum of $177,871.

Shandin Hills Middle School for Civics, Culture, College in the sum of $70,738.

Shandin Hills Middle School for Digital Gaming in the sum of $31,200.

Shandin Hills Middle School for 21st Century Learning Space in the sum of $7,360.

Sierra High School for Sierra High STEM in the sum of $19,865.
