Nutrition Education
At the elementary school level, a cast of life-sized characters educate and entertain students. Led by Nutrasaurus Rex, the Department's mascot, kindergarten through third grade students learn basic nutrition concepts. Specialized nutrition education programs can also be designed, if requested by a school Principal.
Nutrition Services also has Registered Dietitians on staff to provide education for parent groups on quick and nutritious food ideas.
Tours
Tours of the Nutrition Center are available for both students and adult groups. For many elementary classes, the Center is a popular field trip destination.
