Classified Mentorship

Classified Mentorship Program

The Classified Mentorship Program is a structured program tailored to offer support to employees in classifications of instructional, clerical, librarian assistant, and custodial roles. Mentors, matched from the same classification, commit a minimum of 25 contract hours over a six-month period to provide guidance and assistance to their mentees.

Implementing a classified mentorship program is crucial, as research consistently shows that mentored individuals are more satisfied and committed to their professions than those without mentors (Wanberg, Welsh, & Hezlett, 2003). Additionally, mentored individuals tend to receive higher performance evaluations, increased salaries, and faster career progression compared to their non-mentored counterparts.
