S.T.E.A.M.

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. STEAM education is an integrated approach focused around real-world context and 21st century skills that fosters problem solving, inquiry, creativity, and innovation in order to prepare students for both college and career. The SBCUSD STEAM department was established in February 2023 and is currently in the planning phases. We are excited to share more in late summer 2023.

Vision: To provide equitable and inclusive STEAM experiences where all students engage in interdisciplinary learning driven by inquiry, creativity, and innovation in order to prepare them for college and career.

Mission: To serve as the highest quality support and resource to the educators in San Bernardino City Unified School District in order to build capacity and sustainability for STEAM education.
