Medi-Cal Billing

Objectives
Medi-Cal Billing Option is a federally-funded program that reimburses school districts for certain health-related services provided to Medi-Cal eligible students.

The objectives of the program are to assess and enhance services to students and their families. Through this program, San Bernardino City Unified School District can bill for services provided in the areas of health, mental health, social needs, and transportation.

Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA)
MAA is a program for certain Medi-Cal administrative and outreach activities. A random time study is done four times annually to establish a District average for federal reimbursement.
