SBCUSD World Language courses serve district students by sharpening intellectual and language skills, broadening their understanding of other cultures and increasing the skills needed to succeed in a global economy. Academically, students who study a second language succeed in core classes and are prepared for 21st Century career opportunities. World Language students reach the work marketplace with improved communication skills, a greater understanding of politics and government as well as having strengthened their competitive edge for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math careers.
