Cajon IB Vision

Cajon High School is committed to developing a compassionate community of lifelong learners who are academically proficient, exercise intellectual humility, communicate effectively, and act as responsible citizens in the interests of respect and inter-cultural understanding.

IB students embrace their own cultures and are open and responsive to other cultures and views. They are fully engaged, ever curious learners for life. At the heart of all our programs is the IB Learner Profile, a long-term, holistic vision of education that underpins the IB continuum of education and puts the student at the center of everything we do. The Learner Profile is the IB mission statement in action and provides a set of learning behaviors which aims to inspire, motivate and focus students, teachers and the entire IB School community, uniting them in a common purpose.
 

IB Programs Offered At Cajon

Middle Years Program (MYP)
Since 2011 Cajon High School has been authorized by IB World Schools to provide a Middle Years Program.
The IB Middle Years Program (MYP), for students in grades 9 and 10 grade provides, a framework of learning which encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers. The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge, encouraging students to make connections between their studies in traditional subjects and to the real world.

Diploma Program (DP)
Since 1987 Cajon High School has been authorized by IB World Schools to provide a Diploma Program. The IB Diploma Program (DP), for students in grades 11 and 12, is a balanced and academically challenging program of education. The DP prepares students for success in higher education and encourages them to become active participants in an increasingly global society. The program has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities. At Cajon High School, we offer a diverse selection of IB courses, providing students with the opportunity to select a rigorous course path that compliments their interests.
