DUAL ENROLLMENT

MCHS scholars are full-time students who engage in honors-level coursework on the MCHS campus. In the afternoon, students take transferable college classes at SBVC every semester, grades 9-12. Eighty percent of students enter MCHS under performing, in relationship to their ability. Dual enrollment gives students two advantages: It allows students a broader range of classes to match their career goals and interests and it allows students to earn college credit while still in high school.

AVID provides scaffolded support that educators and students need to encourage college and career readiness and success. For one period a day, students receive the additional academic, social, and emotional support that will help them succeed in our most rigorous high school and college courses.
