Multilingual Programs

We will work with site leaders and English Learner Facilitators to increase the District overall reclassification rate to 15%. 

The English Learner Progress Indicator will be maintained at the high (green) level, or above, on the California Data Dashboard. We will work collaboratively with site leaders and District departments to achieve this goal.

We will work collaboratively with site leaders, teachers, and District departments to implement instructional systems and professional development to build capacity in our stakeholders to increase EL academic progress.

Our English Learner Progress will increase by 10% in English Language Arts and Math as measured by the CAASPP.

Our district EL graduation rate will increase to 88%, well above the state graduation rate.

There will be a 10% increase in A-G completion as part of college and career readiness.

We will work with stakeholders to advance the goals and objectives of the Multilingual Initiative in order to provide a pathway to engage all students in high-level, multilingual learning opportunities that prepare them for college and career success in a global society.

In collaboration with the DELAC board, we have set goals that address the following topics: reclassification, graduation and drop-out rates, A-G completion, parent workshops, Latino/EL Career Day, and EL Instructional Rounds.
