Family Engagement
The ETSA family engagement department is committed to uplifting and supporting African American students and families through intentional engagement, resources, and culturally responsive programming. We proudly host District African American Parent Advisory Committee (DAAPAC) meetings to ensure families have a voice and access to tools that support student growth and success.
Our Family Engagement team partners with school sites across the district to develop and strengthen Black Student Unions (BSU) and African American Parent Advisory Committees, creating spaces for connection, leadership, and advocacy.
We also design and implement culturally responsive events that celebrate identity, build community, and increase family engagement. Signature events include Natural Hair Day, The Black History Experience, and the Black Honor Roll.
Through our work, we aim to empower families, elevate student achievement, and create meaningful opportunities for every scholar to thrive.
