From the Desk of Mrs. Kalu

Hello! My name is Chidinma kalu and I’m the Math Equity Program Specialist for the department of Equity and Targeted Student Achievement. My goal is to support teachers in grades 4, 5, and 8 in creating an equitable, high quality math instruction and culturally responsive instructional practices that meet the needs of African American students. My work with each teacher may include, classroom observations and debriefs, coaching, lesson planning, creating learning tasks, co- teaching, demonstration lessons, and collaboration on best practices that positively impact learning for African American students.
