Title I and Categorical Budgets

Categorical Programs directly monitor compliance for the following budgets:

• Federal budgets
• 501 Title I, Part A: Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
• LCFF Supplemental and Concentration Funds
• Restricted State funds
• Grants

Numerous rules and regulations govern the programs. Their common goal is to provide access to mastery of district and state standards for all students, as well as to meet the special educational needs of English learners, educationally disadvantaged pupils, gifted and talented pupils, and students with disabilities.
