Libraries

Categorical Programs offers support and oversight to school libraries throughout the District. Our libraries are designed to teach students the lifetime skills they will need to find materials in a library and the tools they will need to access and evaluate  information.

Elementary school libraries are managed by Library Assistants, while middle schools and high schools are managed by certificated Teacher Librarians. The Categorical Programs Office coordinates monthly library meetings and access to library data bases; facilitates the development of the District Library Plan and the annual 100 Best Books list; provides an annual inservice for elementary Library Assistants; and dispenses technical support, topical information, and guidance for all libraries.

For more information or if you have any questions please contact Categorical Programs, (909) 473-2064.
