The AET Department supports technology integration at all school sites in the district through its Site Educational Technology Coach program. Site Educational Technology Coaches are certificated personnel (typically site based teachers) who are paid by the AET Department to work an additional 10 hours per month to support teachers at their site. A Site Educational Technology Coach's responsibilities include the following:
- Providing site professional development and coaching teachers on instructional technology integration.
- Modeling best practices in technology integration.
- Attending and participating in district Site Educational Tech Coach meetings.
- Sharing updates and best practices from Site Tech Coach meetings with site staff.
- Tracking student technology quiz completion.
The AET Department supports Site Educational Tech Coaches by providing training and resources on the following topics:
- Classroom technology integration
- Lesson observation, data collection, and reflection
- Blended and flipped learning
- Digital citizenship
- Accessing and integrating the ISTE Standards
