Accountability & Educational Technology

The Accountability and Educational Technology (AET) Department is committed to providing accurate data and effective educational technology support in a timely manner to help positively impact student achievement.

The Accountability and Educational Technology (AET) Department:

  • Manages all Federal and State mandated testing programs
  • Trains site technology coaches to assist teachers in integrating technology to support, enhance, and extend student learning
  • Supports schools, staff and district programs with their data and technology needs
  • Facilitates regular District Technology Committee meetings
  • Conducts research and evaluation studies to analyze program effectiveness and student progress
  • Prepares and publishes School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs) for all sites

Educational Technology

The AET Department supports technology integration at all school sites in the district through its Site Tech Coach program.  Site Tech Coaches are certificated personnel (typically classroom teachers or program facilitators) who are paid by the AET Department to work an additional 10 hours per month to support teachers at their site.   A Site Tech Coach's responsibilities include the following:

  • Providing professional development and coaching teachers on instructional technology integration
  • Modeling best practices in technology integration
  • Attending and participating in district Site Tech Coach meetings
  • Sharing updates and best practices from Site Tech Coach meetings with site staff
  • Tracking student technology quiz completion

The AET Department supports Site Tech Coaches by providing training and resources on the following topics:

  • Classroom technology integration
  • Formative assessment
  • Lesson observation, data collection, and reflection
  • Blended and flipped learning
  • Pedagogy for online learning
  • Digital citizenship
  • Accessing and integrating the ISTE Standards
  • Tech tools like G Suite and itslearning
