Hope Makers

Dear Community & District Volunteer:

One behalf of the staff of the San Bernardino City Unified School District, I would like to extend our appreciation for your dedication to improving the academic achievement, career and social-emotional potential of our students. Hope Makers play an important and valuable role in our District. Students, teachers, staff, parents and the community benefit from the work of individuals like you who freely share their talents and resources for the benefit of our students.

Being a Hope Maker wishing to devote a portion of his or her time to one of the most important resources in this community- our schools. We want you to get the most out of your Hope Maker experience. Whether you commit one hour a week, one day a week, or commit to a couple of hours, your efforts enhance the lives of our students K-12.

Hope Makers help in many different ways such as mentoring, tutoring, home visits, 3rd grade reading, Back to School Nights, Chronic Attendance Walks, Graduations, Kindergarten Reading, Positive Home Visits, site and District registration assistance, Pathway Advisory Boards, and many other positive rewarding opportunities to enhance the lives of our students. Your investment of time makes a difference for kids. On behalf of all stakeholders in our San Bernardino City Unified School District Family, “We appreciate all that you give to improve the quality of education for our students.”

If you would like to be a part of the SBCUSD Hope Maker Program, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at (909) 381-1294.

Sincerely,
Kenneth Martinez
