Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) at SBCUSD
The rise in cyber security attacks has created a need to better protect our District's systems and data. SBCUSD is introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This MFA technology is a requirement of the District’s cyber security insurance policy.
What is MFA?
It’s a secondary method of protecting your user account.
Why do I need MFA?
If your password is stolen, the cyber criminal cannot access your account.
How does MFA work?
You need to know your password and in most cases have your phone to access your account.
What devices are supported?
A phone with an authentication application (recommended).
Text message.
A security key.
