Hope Makers: Operation SBAC

Operation SBAC (Score Boosting Affirmation enCounter)
... an SBCUSD Hope Maker event

A middle school student’s performance on state testing can impact their placement in high school classes. When students lack motivation to try their best, their test results can make their path toward college more challenging… even if they have all the skills they need to succeed. A little extra encouragement can make a difference.

SBCUSD Hope Makers will visit each middle school in the district during the month of April to help inspire our 8th grade students to do their best on upcoming state testing.  Each event will include a motivational speaker, and an opportunity for volunteers to interact individually or in small groups with students. A volunteer orientation to provide the simple instructions for the encounter will be held at the start of the event, just prior to the arrival of students.

If you are interested in helping students  succeed by offering them a friendly ear and a vote of confidence, please consider joining us to Make Hope Happen. Register by clicking the link below for the school event you'd like to support. Registering will ensure you receive any updates for the event including schedule changes which may occur up to 30 minutes in either direction of the event times noted above.

All volunteers at school events must be able to pass a background check.
