San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) recognizes that every family has a preferred way to communicate. In its ongoing efforts to make sure that every family has all of the information needed to make the best decisions for their children and to seek input on how best to move forward, SBCUSD is using all of the following communication methods:
Website— the main website at www.sbcusd.com, especially under the News & Announcements section, is updated frequently, as is each individual school’s webpage
Peachjar—electronic flyers are delivered directly to email inboxes if the school has an active email address on file, and families can also view the flyers by visiting their child’s school webpage and clicking the Peachjar icon
Mobile app—this free app is available in the Google Play and App Store by searching for San Bernardino City USD and is customizable to your child’s school and your family’s interests
Social media—Like SBCUSD on Facebook or Follow on Instagram by searching for San Bernardino City USD and Follow SBCUSD on Twitter @SB_CitySchools; individual schools may also have their own Facebook and Twitter accounts
Text messaging—families may opt in to receive messages by texting YES to 67587
Automated telephone messages—as long as your child’s school has your current phone number, you will receive important, automated messages
KIDS Hotline—this 24/7 automated message is updated as necessary to provide Districtwide information by calling (909) 888-KIDS (5437)
In order to receive accurate, timely SBCUSD information, families are strongly encouraged to make sure that their child’s school has their most up-to-date telephone numbers and email addresses. SBCUSD is also committed to communicating in ways that all families can understand, including communication that is accessible to those who are hearing or visually impaired and non-English speakers.
If you require reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, please contact the SBCUSD Affirmative Action Office at (909) 381-1122 or [email protected].
