Transitional Kindergarten

Transitional Kindergarten

About the Program:
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is an exciting and free educational opportunity for children who will turn 5 years old between September 2 - February 2. Children are offered developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with kindergarten standards, taught by credentialed teachers. The TK program prepares students to be successful both academically and socially as they progress to kindergarten the following year.

The San Bernardino City Unified School District offers TK classes at selected sites across the district. A student's TK site assignment is based on their home school. Feel free to download our list of school sites offering TK classes.
