Community Engagement Plan 2.0

INTRODUCTION

The San Bernardino City Unified School District’s 2012-2019 Community Engagement Plan had nine strategies that transformed education for 50,000 students. Through a collaborative revision process involving stakeholder input, the District merged the 9 strategies into 5 strategies to create CEP 2.0. High Expectations for All and Success and Accountability are the guiding principles that serves as the foundation of CEP 2.0! Applied Learning is part of College & Career and Network of Alliances now includes Resource Acquisition and Allocation.
The District is fully committed to making measurable progress toward its key performance indicators (KPIs) (graduation rates, college and career indicator, English learner performance indicator, chronic absenteeism, etc.) which are aligned with the state accountability system.

PREAMBLE

Each strategy plays a unique and critical role in the realization of the mission, beliefs and strategic objectives of the Community Engagement Plan. Given their distinct power, we recognize that each should be governed by the guiding principles of High Expectations for All as well as evidence-based, measurable progress through Success and Accountability.
