    TRANSPORTATION & ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

    *New Pathway starting 2022-23 school year

    The Heavy/Medium Duty Truck Technology program will offer students high-technology training skills in partnership with SBVC.  The A-G approved courses in this Linked Learning academy ensure that students are prepared for college AND careers in the 21st century by combining academic and career technical skills in our brand new state of the art facility. Students will receive training in various subjects, including brake suspension, computer- controlled engines, electrical and heavy-duty maintenance, as well as upcoming clean energy options. These skills may be utilized for immediate employment after certificate completion.

    DIGITAL DESIGN AND COMMUNICATIONS (DDC)

    Pacific’s Digital Design and Communications career pathway prepares students to become animators, movie or video producers, directors, actors, voice actors, web artists, graphic designers, illustrators, or freelance artists. Students will use video, audio, music, graphics, animation, programming, and web skills to create their own digital portfolio to help them be successful in college and careers. The A-G approved courses in this Linked Learning academy ensure that students are prepared for college AND careers in the 21st century by combining academic and career technical skills. Students will have the opportunity to participate in work-based learning opportunities such as guest speakers, field trips, job shadowing, and internships. All who complete the pathway will have the opportunity to earn articulated college credit and/or industry certification. The DDC Academy has achieved Linked Learning Gold Certification in 2021, the highest standard of excellence in the Linked Learning field.

    PROJECT LEAD THE WAY (PLTW) BIOMEDICAL HONORS

    Whether discovering new cancer treatments or teaching healthy lifestyle choices to their communities, today’s biomedical science professionals are tackling big challenges to improve the future. Pacific’s PLTW Biomedical Science students are taking on these same real-world challenges – and they’re doing it before they even graduate from high school. Our students work with the same tools used by professionals in hospitals and labs; they engage in compelling, hands-on activities and consistently work in teams to find solutions to problems that may change how medical society operates. By the time the students are ready to graduate, they leave with core knowledge and technical skills learned in high school to navigate through the rest of their lives, on any career path they may take. The PLTW Biomedical Academy has achieved Linked Learning Gold Certification, the highest standard of excellence in the Linked Learning field.
