Board of Education

Providing Direction

The Board provides direction for operating the District through actions taken at its meetings. They develop the policies by which the educational programs and other business of the District are carried out. Proposed policies require two public readings prior to final adoption to allow for citizen comment.

Meetings

• 5:30 p.m.

• First and third Tuesday of each month
• Board of Education Building, located at 777 N. F St., San Bernardino (Due to Board of Education building renovations, meetings are currently held in the Performing Arts Center at Indian Springs High School, 650 N. Del Rosa Dr.)

Meetings are open to the public, except for closed sessions, which the Board is permitted to hold to discuss confidential matters relating to employees, students, or litigation. Actions taken in closed session are reported out at the end of the meeting.

Special meetings and study sessions are held as needed. Board members may not act individually in the name of the Board; action may be taken only when they are meeting in formal session with a majority of the members present.

• Meetings are open to the public, except for closed sessions.  Board meetings replay on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and Midnight on Access San Bernardino channel (channel 17 or 32 on Spectrum Cable).  Meetings are also streamed live and you can view all past meetings at https://www.youtube.com/user/SanBdoCitySchools/
