It is the time of year when scores come out. The news for Riley is that we were able to maintain the incredible growth from the year before, but we did plateau last year, and as a result we did not reach our target of 800. Our score for this last year is 759. There are a couple of reasons why we did not get the growth we expected. One of them being that the state changed how the test is scored a little bit. This is rather disappointing, but rest assured that we are already looking to make adjustments to ensure this next year is a year of good growth.
On a positive note, Riley has made the most growth of all of the elementary schools in the district when looking at the past 5 years, and we are now a similar rank of 6 out of 10. This is up from a 3 the year before. I have attached graphs of our grade level growth so you can see how our efforts have lead to better and better scores over the years.
Let us continue working hard towards our goals, and remember NO EXCUSES!
