To support non-English speaking parents, the District’s Communications Office has two full-time Spanish-language interpreters/translators who provide services to help the District communicate clearly with all parents.
All District sites are staffed with bilingual employees; however, the Communications Office is able to support the school sites by translating major District publications and urgent documents for the students in the District. This allows for a seamless flow of information to the families of the 18,000 English learners enrolled in the District.
The Spanish-language interpreters/translators are available to help with the following:
- School handbooks
- Parent notices
- Expulsion packets and interpretations
- District publications and presentation information
- Customer services for Spanish speakers
- Public service announcements for KCAL 1410 AM radio
- Employee workshops
- State standards
For more information about translations, please call Communications at (909) 381-1250.
