The primary mission of the San Bernardino City Unified School District is to provide academic instruction sufficient to develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding required to promote personal development to the fullest extent of the individual's potential.

Assisting students to recognize and capitalize on the promise embodied in their attained skills, knowledge, and understanding is the mission of the College/Career Development Program.

Aligned with the National Career Development Guidelines, and the Labor Secretary's Commission on the Achievement of Necessary Skills (SCANS), the College/Career Development Program is organized around three broad areas: self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, and career planning.

Designed specifically to assist students in their occupational exploration and career planning,  the Career/Employment Preparation webpage offers the resources necessary for informed career choices.
