Graduation Requirements

To receive a high school diploma from Inland Career Education Center, a graduate must earn 180 credits.

  • At least 10 credits must be taken at the Adult School.  Courses listed as "fee" classes, mini-courses, basic education (ABE), English as a Second Language (ESL), Citizenship, Adults with Disabilities, and Older Adult Courses are not credit courses.

  • All students working towards a high school diploma will meet with a counselor / advisor upon completion of each course for re-evaluation of credits.

  • Classes are open to all adults at any time of the year depending on the availability of class space.


These sources of credit may be applied toward a high school diploma at the Adult School:

  1. Credits earned in other accredited high schools, adult schools, colleges, technical schools (except for Physical Education classes)
  2. Credits or courses completed during military service
  3. Work experience

 

The following number of credits in each subject is required for a high school diploma:

English
US History
American Government/Economics
World History
